(WOSB) Woman-Owned Small Business Certification
(EDWOSB) Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business Certification

WBE is a nationally recognized certification. Must be at least 51% owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. Gives you access to supplier diversity and procurement executives at hundreds of major U.S. corporations and city, state, and local government entities.

WOSB & EDWOSB are federal programs with a goal to award at least 5% of all contracting spend to women owned small businesses each year to help level the playing field for women business owners. For WOSB you must be a small business according to SBA size standards, be at least 51% owned and controlled by women who are U.S. citizens. Gets you access to procurement opportunities, networking events, community support, and other business tools and resources. The government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses that participate in the WOSB federal contracting program. These contracts are for specific industries where WOSBs are under represented.

The EDWOSB program must meet all the requirements of the WOSB program, be owned and controlled by one or more women, each with a personal net worth less than $750,000, each with $350,000 or less in adjusted gross income averaged over the previous three years, and each owner have $6 million or less in personal assets. Allows you to compete for set-aside contracts.
