Already opening their third location, this small business is growing in leaps and bounds with the assistance of the San Jacinto College Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
Houston Veteran Owned Business Does Well
A small business startup called Veterans MFG located in Katy, Texas is doing just that, starting up big. Principal, Michael Hlozek is a U.S. veteran that understands the importance of providing quality protection gear to the front lines.
His company helps first responders, police and security personnel by providing them with body armor gear to keep them safe. Not only is this start up growing fast but it also has found much success as a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) which helped them to open doors to do more business.
Veterans MFG received help with small business financing by working with the Fort Bend County Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
They were spotlighted in Impact Magazine and the article got attention from the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) and made it’s way to the SBA’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. From there the company’s growth has skyrocketed.
